Shell’s expansion of their ethoxylation facilities at Jurong Island, Singapore is set to be completed in the first quarter of next year. The official ground-breaking for the two ethoxylation units with a combined capacity of 140,000 mtpy took place in April 2013. These units will add to Shell’s existing alcohol ethoxylates capacity of 40,000 mtpy from its acquisition of its partner’s shares in Ethoxylene Glycols Singapore (EGS) in 2010.
